Evening Smallmouth in Haiku

It was almost dark
when I headed down the hill
in search of smallmouth

The river gave up
Five fish in twenty minutes
But light was fading

So I headed back
Up the steep hill to the house
Grinning all the way.

  2. Well manicured nails
I have noticed more than once
    In your fab fish shots.

    • What a great idea
      to leave a haiku comment
      Wish I thought of it

      • Notice how nat’ral
        the rythms of haikus are
        for simple speeches
