Fish Eye

It was a fun morning, fly fishing the home waters of the Potomac with a friend. A few smallmouth were caught, but for me it was mostly these pretty little sunfish. They’re small, but they fight hard. The Jack Russell Terriers of the fish world, we decided today. The only interesting photo I took today was this macro of a sunfish eye. You can see my silhouette in the reflection.

    fantastic shots,
how are you liking the new camera?
i was looking at the pentax before i saw your review, the TG1 seems to be doing quite a good job.

    thanks, take care!

    • Thanks Smokey! I like the TG-1 more each time I use it. It has some convenient features I never used in other cameras before if they had them, but I love the presets. You get two of them on the main dial, so if you want a quick underwater snapshot you can set one for that, and set the other for landscape or panorama or something. Easy to reset based on your outing and likely scenarios. Another thing I’m noticing that I really like is it is very quick to power up and be ready for a shot. If it’s in my pocket on a hike and I see something, it’s just incredibly fast to grab it, hit the power button and shoot. Much faster than any other point and shoot I’ve used. Speaking of pockets, it’s considerably smaller than the Pentax so I like it more for carrying in a pocket.
